How To Kill The Facebook Auto Play Video On Your Phone and System

Due to some changes Facebook made, some features which sometimes are unpleasing, like this "Auto play" surface.

Just think of it, while you are trying to manage your limited data and because of that, you neglect youtube and instagram cause it consumes data for video and when you think Facebook would be a better social media to learn about happenings around you, all of a sudden a video just kick start and play automatically, would be frustrating right?.

Well that is all over with this new tricks am sharing, you can stop all these (good, ugly, bad, interesting and uninteresting) videos from auto playing.

HOW YOU CAN KILL / STOP FACEBOOK VIDEO AUTO PLAY.

A. STOP AUTO PLAY ON YOUR SYSTEM:

You would think, why make a separate tutorial for the system and mobile phone after all its all about my Facebook account whether on system or not, but there have been reports that some changes you make on your system via your account might not be effective on your mobile, so you will have to turn it off at both places.

To prove me wrong, try with this and see if the changes reflect.

So back to the ways to stop auto play on your system, follow these steps:-

1. Log into your Facebook account.

2. At the top right corner, click the down arrow (which looks like a triangle pointing downwards).

3. Scroll if need be (due to screen resolutions) to settings and click on it.

4. At the next page, scroll down to the bottom of the left column (or till you see the video section) click the video.

5. On the pop up that appears, choose OFF.

B. STOP AUTO PLAY ON YOUR PHONE:-

Follow these steps:-

1. Login

2. Tap the three straight line at the top right corner of your phone.

3. Scroll down to "App Settings"

4. Scroll to "Video Auto Play"

5. Choose "Off"

And thank God you are save from those frustrating events.
