Bidvest Wits and Polokwane City will face off in an Absa Premiership match at the Bidvest Stadium in Johannesburg on Wednesday.
Kick-off is at 7.30pm.
The Clever Boys were stunned 3-1 by Free State Stars at the Goble Park Stadium in their previous league encounter last week.
The defeat ended the Braamfontein side's four-match winning streak in the league. They have also won their last three home league matches.
Wits are still sitting at the top of the league standings with 57 points from 28 matches. They are two points ahead of second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns.
Sifiso Myeni, the Wits attacking midfielder, is set to miss the clash against Polokwane. The skillful winger will be serving his suspension.
Clever Boys head coach Gavin Hunt says they need to forget about their recent defeat and keep grinding out results until they clinch this season's league title.
"We've got to keep going, dust ourselves off, there's nothing we can do about it now – it's gone," Hunt said.
"It's our first time off now, six days until the next game and then we'll see what we have to do.
"We should have won this thing [title] a long time ago with the points we've thrown away. But we'll keep fighting and go to the end."
Meanwhile, Polokwane stunned Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 in their previous league game at the Peter Mokaba Stadium - with Thapelo Tshilo scoring last weekend.
As a result Rise and Shine returned to winning ways in the league. Before facing Chiefs, SuperSport United had ended Polokwane's four-match unbeaten run.
Polokwane are placed sixth on the league table with 40 points from 28 matches. They are four points ahead of seventh-placed Maritzburg United.
Sammy Seabi and Jabu Maluleke, Polokwane's two key midfielders will miss Wednesday's encounter. The duo are suspended.
Having secured a top-eight finish, Polokwane coach Bernard Molekwa is now looking to win their last two matches as they are still in the race for the Q-Innovation 4.
"For the first time, we can say we have qualified for the top eight. This is something we have talked about achieving," Molekwa said.
"I can say we have qualified, but we still have two games left to play.
“We still have to be professional, we still have to play and make sure we win those games and see where they lead us. Because, we’re still there [in the running] for Q4.”
When Wits and Polokwane met in the first-round league match last September, the two sides drew 0-0 at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
