Former Real Betis captain Alexis Trujillo will coach the struggling Spanish side for the final two games of the season after Victor Sanchez del Amo was sacked on Tuesday.
"The Betis board decided this afternoon on the sacking of Víctor Sánchez del Amo as coach of the first team," Betis said in a statement.
"Moreover, the board has decided that the last matches of the current season will be overseen by Alexis Trujillo."
After initially making a positive impression when he replaced the sacked Gustavo Poyet in November, Betis' form has slumped under Victor in recent months with fans consistently calling for his departure.
Monday's 4-0 thrashing by Leganes was Betis' third straight defeat to leave the Seville-based club 15th in the table.
It is also the third time former Real Madrid midfielder Victor has been relieved of his duties in just over a year after also being sacked by Deportivo la Coruna and Olympiakos.
Betis face Atletico Madrid and Sporting Gijon in their final two games of the season.
